Yesterday I drove from Omaha, NE to Mound City, MO to meet up with Tricia. She is a friend from China (although she most recently has served in Cambodia). We have been good friends for about 8 years. We make a point of getting together every couple of years to reconnect. The 5 hours that we were together went by way too fast. We sat in a McDonalds the whole time and just chatted. (It was soooo cold in that McDonalds but I would sit and talk with her outside in the -12 degree weather just to spend time with her!)

The batteries in my camera died so other than the above picture of Tricia, I did not have a picture to document our time together. And since our visits are few and far between, I got the bright idea to have each of us draw a picture to document our time. As you can see, we are both amazing artists!
Here is Tricia's pic.

And here is my pic. Your guess is as good as mine as to which one is Tricia and which one is me...

I was also able to visit with my grandma while I was in Omaha. She is really a lovely woman and I had a wonderful time with her.

I am now back home in Wisconsin. And while my time in Omaha was very enjoyable, I am happy to be able to sleep in my own bed tonight. :)
