"I miss China..."

Many people have been asking me how my adjustment back to the states has been going. I have to say that it has been much better than I anticipated. I thought I was going to be wishing I wasn't in the US the whole year but I have not found that to be the case. I have loved spending time with family and friends. I have loved getting involved in my fellowship here. The people at River Valley Alliance are wonderful and I feel so at home.

I would be lying though if I said I did not have those "I miss China" days. In fact, I would say that today is one of those days. I crave Chinese food. I have wished all day that I could have some of my favorite dishes.

My teammate sent me some pictures of the Cultural Exchange Center today. It really made me wish I was there. Here are the pics that she sent...

This is a picture of the Coffee Shop from the outside.

This is what it looks like at night.

This is what it looks like on the inside...full of people.

It is great to see so many people in the coffee shop. Our vision is becoming a reality. I can't wait to go back and see all the ways in which our Father will be working there over the next year. Please be keeping this place and activities in your thoughts.

I am glad that I have been enjoying being back in the States. I am also glad that China still tugs at my heart. It is good that I have those days when I really miss it...I left part of myself there when I came back here!
