心不在焉

I have a personal trainer who comes to my house twice a week. Her name is Angel. The name fits her. She is my angel.

I had a personal trainer in the states right before I returned to China. I knew that I would like to continue with some sessions after I returned but I had hoped to do them in my home. I asked around to see if anyone knew of any female trainers. Most people would tell me that China does not have any female trainers. I knew this could not possibly be the case so I kept asking around.

One day a friend told me that her gym had a female trainer. She set it up for us to meet and the rest is history. (Ok, pretty recent history ;) Angel has come to my home for about a month now. I am so grateful!
Yesterday I could not bring myself to really get into our session. I was tired and had a really bad headache. This is why I titled this post 心不在焉 (xin bu zai yan). It is a Chinese idiom that means my heart is not in it. My heart wasn't into working out at all! (I used taking pictures as an excuse for taking a break from the workout for a bit.)

And so I write this for the world to see. While my heart wasn't in it yesterday, I wanted to remind myself and declare to you what a blessing Angel has been to me. I am thankful that she is willing to come to my home and motivate me to do something I don't always enjoy doing. I am determined to put my heart back into the workout when she arrives at my home at 9am this Saturday. :)

Um...terrible pic (of me)! I was in the middle of a session so that is as good as you get during a workout. :)
