Merry Christmas!!

圣诞快乐!Merry Christmas to all my friends and family. I feel especially blessed this year because I celebrated Christmas several times. It was fun was fun celebrating with Caleb and Amanda when they were here in November. It was also quite enjoyable celebrating it yesterday with friends from church.

Last night at the Christmas Eve service we talked about how Christ is our dayspring. He is the first light of the dawn. He is our sunrise.

In John 1:77-79 is says that Christ has come "to give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

I am so thankful that our heavenly father cares about us so much that he sent his son to bring light to the darkness. We need only to repent and accept the gift of salvation offered to us through his son.

After the service we went to the Zimmerman's house to celebrate.

Betsy, Noah, Katie, Dave and myself sitting around discussing Christmas traditions. (Well Noah really didn't discuss anything at all. He did smile a lot though. :)

Presents!!!

It sure was fun to see Christmas through the eyes of a child. Samuel squealed with delight every time he opened a present. He also LOVED playing in the tissue paper. So cute!!!
