Today was a good day. In fact it was an "I'm so happy to be living in China" kind of day. If you prayed about my adjustment back, THANK YOU! Keep them coming. I hope to have many more of these types of days.
I live in Xi'an. It is one of the ancient capitals of China. Xi'an is really quite an amazing city. It is a good mixture of ancient and modern. I have lived here for six years and yet I am still finding places I have never been to. (Actually, this is not all that surprising really. My life is usually so consumed with work.) Today, my friend Susan and I, climbed the wall that encloses the center of the city. I had never been on it before. The wall was all done up for the Spring Festival. It was lots of fun!

Xi'an opened it's first subway line a few months ago. It was quite the big deal. People still ask me all the time if I have taken the subway. My answer was always no. (I usually take buses and the subway is not anywhere near where I live.) So, today was the day the answer changed. I can now answer it in the affirmative. :)
