Shopping for baking supplies...

As many of you know, I love to bake! One question that people often ask me is if I am able to purchase some goodies from the US to cook or bake with. The answer is yes! I am able to purchase many things but they are not always easy to find. In fact, I am going to take you on a picture tour of one place that us foreigners affectionately refer to as "the hole in the wall." It is one of those places that you cannot go to the first time all by yourself. Someone must take you there because, well, have a look...

I usually take a 20 minute bus ride to this gate. This is a gate for a small institute. I have not idea why far within these walls there is a goldmine of imported goods...

Walk through the gate and go straight until you can't go straight anymore.

Then take a left and go straight again.

You will eventually come to a place that looks like this.

Walk through the gate.

Take the first left.

Then take a right and keep walking (ignore the feeling that this is a weird joke someone is trying to pull and keep walking).

You will finally see this red gate. Go ahead...walk through it...

Yay!! You made it! Through the doors on the left lies all sorts of goodies.

One of the storage rooms. It still looks iffy but let me tell you, it is such a blessing to be able to buy the things that these rooms contain.

This is what I purchased on one of my trips there. (Whipping Cream, Maple Syrup, Canned Cherries, Cream Cheese, Butter, Miracle Whip, Crisco, and Barbecue Sauce) This is pretty much the place that we go to buy cheese, cocoa powder, and many kinds of cereals as well!
