Goodbyes

People keep asking me how I am feeling right now. The answer to that question is I really don't know. I am excited to going back to China next Tuesday. I am thrilled that my visa has arrived and that other than packing, I am all set to go. I am somewhat nervous about transitioning again. On top of it all, I am very sad to have to say goodbye again to my friends and loved ones.

Here are some pictures of some of my most recent goodbyes...

My friend Julie flew in from Omaha last Saturday. She only stayed for one night and we spent most of that time playing German board games like Settlers of Catan and A Ticket to Ride. It was fun to take time out from the stress of preparing to leave to play games and relax with a good friend. Thanks Julie for coming to see me.

The ladies in my small group took an evening out on Monday night to eat "Chinese food" together before I head back to China. We had a great time! I am thankful for the many friends I have been blessed with in my life. I am also thankful to be discussing and studying the Word together with some amazing people. I will miss you guys!

The ladies at RVAC put on a goodbye party for me. I know I have said this before but I feel so blessed by the friendships I have formed here in Watertown at RVAC. It was an enjoyable evening but in the back of my mind I was thinking that it really is not fun to say goodbye. I will miss my friends at RVAC!

I know there are many more goodbyes in the days ahead. It makes me a little sad just thinking about it. However, I am very thankful that the Lord has blessed me with some amazing friendships. I have a lot to be thankful for!
