Today a dear sister named Elsa took me to see the sites in and around Los Angeles. The day was rainy and somewhat dreary but we managed to have a good time anyway!

Today Hollywood was busy getting set up for the Academy Awards tomorrow night. A good portion of the street was shut down in preparation.
To be honest, I was not a big fan of Hollywood. I don't know what I thought it would be like but it was pretty much just a dirty street with people trying to sell you on tours of "the stars' " homes. I did not recognize very many of the stars named on the sidewalk. I took a picture of Judy Garland's star because I really like "The Wizard of Oz".
We went to see Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. So those who actually shop on this street have WAY too much money. It made me kinda sad that there was so much wealth represented on one street when I saw a homeless man pushing a shopping cart a block away.
