A Trip to the Market

I do not have a tourist eye anymore. Meaning that life in China is ordinary to me. I do not look at life around me with fresh eyes. I carry my camera in my bag all the time and yet I rarely take it out. Yesterday I went to the market to buy vegetables. While I was there I remembered that I had my camera. Here are some pictures from my visit. Actually, until I looked at these pictures, I had not realized how much color is part of my daily life.

Do you like your food spicy? I do! There is quite a variety of hot pepper to chose from here in China.

Walnuts anyone?

Beans of all colors.

I love fresh vegetables!

Before I came to China I did not like eggplant. Now I will order it often. To be honest, I still don't know how to cook it!

Red spicy pepper or green?

The Chinese staples....garlic and ginger.

I used to think that buying meat at the market was disgusting. Now it is just life. This is a pork shop. :)
