Opening Ceremony

Molly and I had some friends over to watch the Opening Ceremony. We had such a great time. The ceremony was breathtaking. I was so proud of China. They have been looking forward to the Olympics for so many years. I knew the show would be spectacular but I never thought it would be quite that amazing. There were points throughout the whole thing that I teared up. It was fun to see the reactions of our Chinese friends during it. They have never been so proud to be Chinese. I am so thankful that I able to be here in China during this memorable time.
We decorated party hats to wear. Molly is helping one of her friends.
Molly and I decorated the house for the party. We used red and yellow stars because those are the colors of the Chinese flag. We also handed everone Chinese or Olympics flags when they entered the house. Here we are standing outside the door to our apartment.

This a a picture of the ceremony on our TV. See the yellow and red stars...

This is a picture of me with a friend in our living room. We all had such a good time. We even ate brownies with yellow frosting stars on top.

Thanks for the photos of your Olympics party. I have 4-5 channels showing the Olympics and have had my TV on almost non stop (24/7) since they started! Aunt Carolyn
