Earthquake Update

It has been three days since the earthquake and we still don't have any gas. This means that we cannot cook food on the stove and we cannot take a hot shower. We have to heat up water in the microwave to take a sponge bath. We are told that we may not have gas for another week.

I am not complaining though. Not having gas is nothing compared to the devastation that took place in Sichuan. (I actually used to live in the area near the epicenter of the earthquake.) So many lives have been changed overnight.

The city I live in has calmed down a bit in the last 24 hours. People spent the night last night in their own homes. (Many were terrified of aftershocks so they spent two nights outside.)

Please continue to plead on behalf of China. Many people, while they may not have been in the earthquake know those who have been. Many lives have been lost and people all over the country are grieving.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad you have a microwave. I keep watching on CNN.
