Still Alive!!

OK, so it’s been a little while since I have written. Just a few items to get you caught up on what is happening...

The sanitary department gave us the approval we needed to reopen the coffee shop. PTL!! In fact, we opened again yesterday. However, this did not happen without a hiccup. About a half hour before we were to open, I went to get something out of the refrigerator/freezer and found that it was not working and everything we had in it had gone bad. We did not know what we should do as we were unable to serve any food or cold drinks. We decided to open anyways and just serve coffee. The evening (we are only open in the evening) went great and I had a fun time chatting with old friends and some new customers.

Honestly it seems that one roadblock after another has popped up in the last couple of months. One of our local staff went to the states to visit with a friend for two months and decided to stay there. We are now in the process of looking for someone to do his job. On top of that we are still waiting on an approval from the Business Bureau. We hope that we will receive that sometime this week. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts!

On a more personal note: In the past couple of weeks I have taught myself to play the guitar. Ok, let me rephrase...I am teaching myself to play the guitar and I am loving it! I have found so much joy in it as I worship through singing and playing. It has been a wonderful way for me to relax and refocus. I have only had the guitar laying around for nearly 5 years now. It is about time that I can play more than one broken song. :) I am nowhere near being ready to play in front of others but it has certainly enriched my personal quiet times!

Very cool that you're learning guitar! Once your fingers stop hurting, it will bring you many hours of joy, I'm sure. Enjoy!
